Incepted in the year 2018, the department offers undergraduate course in English. The department offers BA course in an intellectual and informative way to introduce the students to the sanctity of English Literature and relate it with World Literature, Regional Literature, Translational studies, Filmic studies, etc. The department provides inclusive and intensive mentoring for students both within and beyond campus through various clubs and forums. The department offers additional courses that equip them to face & win the world. The departmental calendar abounds in various activities like seminars, symposiums, guest lectures, workshops and conferences. With six dedicated and erudite faculty members, the Department of English makes learning English a pleasure. English Literature
The 3 year full time BBA curriculum is flexible and is comprised of creative combinations of disciplines of study. Innovative and stimulating pedagogical practices stimulate the students’ learning experience. The BBA programme aims at developing in the students a set of broad based competencies, an understanding of the social and human context and instill in them strong ethical values.
The broad goal of the BBA program is to provide the students a general education curriculum that provides learning in multiple disciplines along with in-depth knowledge of the management discipline. Thus, the students are prepared to deal with complexity, diversity and change. Value added courses on communication, analytical and problem solving skills equip the students with the ability to apply knowledge and skills in the real world settings.
The objective of the BBA programme is to provide high quality education in management and prepare students to join industry, business and non-profit organizations, to seek entrepreneurial venture, to pursue higher education in management and to enable the students to achieve success. Our dedicated faculty use innovative pedagogical techniques, computer applications, applied information systems technology, team projects, in-depth case analysis, group activities and presentations, class discussions, business simulations and internet-based studies etc. within the classroom.

To meet the challenges of emerging scenario in the 21st century and to make use of the new opportunities in the field of Commerce, the Department of Commerce was established in the academic year 2024-2025 and it is one of the upcoming departments in the college. The Department has the legitimate claim and pride of being the unique institution in Thoothukudi for course curriculum development, teaching in Commerce discipline. Computer Science is a broad field which encompasses all aspects of computers, including the design and application of both hardware and software. Career opportunities are diverse and are found in computer design, manufacturing, development, testing, transportation, communications, research, education and management. The Department was started in the academic year 2022-2023 with experienced and dedicated faculty members.

The programmes offered by the department imparts quality education for the students especially the poor, the needy and the underprivileged by providing more career opportunities in IT, educational, banking and Government sectors.
The Department is equipped with a well-furnished computer laboratory and a Department Library furnished with the latest books on Computer. To break the geographical boundaries, the Department has a separate internet laboratory for surfing the net. The Seminar Hall with excellent seating arrangement and LCD projector facilities is fully put to use by the Department.
Studying History becomes fruitful, meaningful and goal-oriented, when opportunities are given to students to utilize their creative talents and the training given is meant to achieve academic excellence to enable them to play their legitimate roles in society. Restructuring of curriculum is aimed at encouraging the students to view their culture through perspective of time and change. Courses offered are meant to prepare the students not only for future studies in History, but also for careers in law, administration, foreign relations and teaching.
The three-year programme, Bachelor of Arts in History, provides opportunities to follow a variety of career paths. Besides, a career in academics like teaching and research, the course will help students prepare for competitive examinations including UPSC-Civil Services.
